In the early periods of human history, the way the economy functioned was quite basic in every sense of the word. People would trade commodities with each other inside their own communities. While commodities and goods dominated the world economy for the most part, today, it is services that own the financial landscape of most developed countries, with manufacturing being outsourced to third parties. When speaking of services, one talks about a vast array of different kinds, from the most basic ones in terms of needs, such as medical care and providing security and law to those that appeal to the more hedonic side of people, such as entertainment and all the variations of it, to tourism, food industry and so on.

The food industry is stronger today than it has ever been, while some have grown up being used to home cooked food, the realities of today’s workplace may not allow for such luxuries. As a consequence, more and more career oriented individuals have their go at restaurants when it comes to their nutrition. It should be noted that the way these restaurants are chosen is quite deliberate and well thought out, as they need to cater to that specific customer’s needs in terms of quality, taste, price and portion size.
